Mission

Winchester Lake: Year 12 of ongoing lake stewardship program funded and executed on behalf of State of Connecticut DEEP. Scientific analyses of water quality and habitat; culling of excess plant growth where necessary. Identification and chemical eradication of invasive plant species. Removal of floating bog islands. Removal of inorganic inflow materials to achieve cooling of water for enhanced fish habitat and hatching potential. Preparation of scientific analyses of results of stewardship.
