Goals

1. 1.Our Country Director recently was on national TV sharing about our services. Kulea’s social workers visit our referring partners (primarily referral hospitals) monthly to remind them that we can admit more babies for formula support immediately. Caregivers who have been helped often refer neighbors who have a malnourished newborn. These are some ways we increase access to our services.
2. 2.Babies are referred for formula support during a health crisis of malnutrition or maternal. We provide crisis support with provision of things as food, rent, or a mattress. For female caregivers, we cover the cost of medical care & teach preventative health weekly. Finally, we provide small business training, set up & monitoring ensuring the parent is self-supportive.
