Charity Navigator provides 501(c)(3) nonprofits with an Encompass Rating when we have available data. Please see the sections below for more information on why this organization is not currently rated.

This organization cannot be evaluated by our Encompass Rating methodology because it files Form 990-N, as allowed by the IRS for charities with less than $50,000 annual revenue.

The lack of a rating for this reason simply means that the organization does not meet our rating criteria. It does not indicate a positive or negative assessment by Charity Navigator.

What is your organization aiming to accomplish?

To inform as many people as possible of the need for early detection and education with Cancer. We are aiming to infiltrate a school prgram which teaches children at an early age how important it is to talk about how they are feeling to their parents and doctors, while teaching adults to recognize and know your body and the signs it is giving them to help with early detection. Many adults ignore the signs because they are afraid of the results. If we educate them on the need for early detection it will take away some of the fears they have and feel comfortable talking to their doctor and family.

What are your strategies for making this happen?

Grants, donations and program events to educate and teach others in regards the need for being an advocate for their health. Many ignore and even avoid talking about Cancer because of the fear that Cancer is death sentence when it truly doesn't have to be, our organization will give them the freedom and chance to come in and talk about their fears and help them to ge the courage to speak with their doctors about signs they are having and the feeling of fear. This would be a huge step in the right direction for our organization, and to get our name recognized in helping others.

What are your organization's capabilities for doing this?

We have a good team that is willing to go the extra mile to get things done. We are small but through educating ourselves and the need to get more people on board in regards to the impact Cancer has on men, women, and children. There is so much out pour in October for Breast Cancer Awareness, we want to do more. While Breast Cancer is a huge problem, others are dying from all other Cancers that is barely talked about unless you know someone who has died or is fighting this Cancer.

How will your organization know if you are making progress?

By doing different analysis and seeing what works and what doesn't work. SWAT analysis allows us to understand and change and tweak any programs or events necessary to help people with cancer. We know it is not going to be easy, but giving up is never an option when it involves so many lives we can help through early detection.

What have and haven't you accomplished so far?

The name recognition and the fact others are opening up to us, next we want to partner with our parish government and the people of this parish to have a day of widespread Cancer Awareness. A day for people to remember their loved ones and advocate for others the need to talk with their doctors.
