Vision

We envision a world where every equine is safe, valued, and protected, and where compassion for animals inspires stronger, more connected communities. Through rescue, lifelong sanctuary, education, advocacy, and innovative equine-assisted programs, 13 Hands Equine Rescue will be a national leader in transforming the lives of both equines and people. 13 Hands will serve as a place of hope, learning, and healing—providing educational experiences, community outreach, volunteer opportunities, and specialized programs for anyone seeking connection through the human-equine bond. By rescuing vulnerable equines, educating the public, and empowering people to become lifelong advocates, we will create a future where fewer animals need saving because more people understand their value, their welfare, and our shared responsibility to protect them.

Goals

1. 1.Maximizing the opportunities of our key programs: adoptions and equine assisted learning/support ensures we save as many lives as possible while also improving the human lives in our community.
2. 2.Improving our fundraising tools and ensuring proper staffing in our operations functions will improve our ability to flourish.
3. 3.Expanding our already effective programming to other organizations and audiences will broaden our reach and increase our impact and recognition.
