The Exceptional Sidekick Inc.

Mission

THE MISSION OF EXCEPTIONAL SIDEKICK, INC. IS TO TRANSFORM LIVES BY IDENTIFYING, RAISING AND TRAINING PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE DOGS TO MATCH WITH CHILDREN AND ADULTS SUFFERING FROM PSYCHIATRIC DISABILITIES, WHILE ENGAGING AND EDUCATING THE COMMUNITY IN THE PROCESS.

Vision

The Exceptional Sidekick provides psychiatric service dogs to disabled teens and young adults, empowering their handlers to complete their education and live the life they want to live. Kids deserve to feel safe and welcomed in all spaces. We embrace diversity, including everyone irrespective of ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. We are the safe space that they often need while they learn to regulate their nervous system, emotions, and health concerns. We hope to one day expand to offer educational and job placement opportunities to the kids needing help beyond what a service dog can provide.

Goals

1.Our top goal is to lower the cost of our exceptional dogs so that all kids have access to a service dog regardless of their family's financial constraints.
