Mission

Community Garden Kitchen (CGK) is the only facility in Collin County, Tx. open in the evening to meet the meal needs of residents struggling with food insecurity. The program titled “Angela’s Table” is structured to serve anyone a healthy, delicious, free meal in our restaurant with no required paperwork or showing of identification. In addition to serving meals Monday through Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, teams of volunteers arrive in the morning to prepare sack lunches which they then deliver to day laborers and people living on the streets. CGK also supplies food to four area food pantries, helping to keep their shelves stocked for their clients. A volunteer-run garden, adjacent to the dining facility, supplies fresh produce, herbs and fruit used in food preparation.
