Point of Pride
Mission
Point of Pride provides financial aid and direct support to trans and gender diverse people in need of health and wellness care. Our mission is to help the most vulnerable members of our community feel seen and supported. Affirmation: The work we do, the heart of our mission, is to provide powerful affirmation for the people we serve. Trans people who feel seen, supported, and valid are able to live their authentic lives. Access: We aim to serve the members of our community who have the biggest hurdles in accessing the care they need—whether it's financial, geographical, or institutional. Equity: Our equity-based processes seek to address the failures of disparate levels of privilege and access. Empowerment: The results of our programs work must always have a transformative impact beyond direct service. Celebration: With so many narratives and stories around trans hardship, we work to instead foster trans joy! We aim to celebrate the resilience and beauty of the people we serve.
