Mission

Detroit Hives; a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to improve the quality for both people and pollinators by transforming vacant lots into thriving green spaces. Through our Bee The Change and Bee In Motion Program, we're educating the next generation of leaders on sustainability, while also increase wellness and mobility within underserved communities.

Vision

We envision cities alive with pollinators, people, and possibility. We believe a healthy future for pollinators reflects a healthy future for humanity—where vacant land becomes living infrastructure, communities are rooted in care, and nature, culture, and creativity thrive together.

Goals

1.Transform 75 vacant lots into pollinator-friendly green spaces across Detroit.
2.Educate 5,000 students annually through hands-on environmental and arts-based programs.
3.Plant 1,000 Michigan-native trees and 20,000 perennials to restore urban habitat.
