    Adaptability Practices
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
After significant lobbying for several years, it became clear to the SSN 777 club that transfer of the hull of the USS NORTH CAROLINA at the end of its service life to a non-Navy entity would not be permitted due to sensitivity of radioactive engineering systems which could not be feasibly decontaminated. Having made preservation of the hull a core mission at the time of its founding, the club supported the divestiture of an effort to create a NC Submarine Museum by allowing a newly-created foundation to leverage the club's existing supporter communication channels and financial resources until such time as the new foundation had its own financial and strategic resources to call upon. The two organizations completed all steps to cease sharing of financial, communication, and leadership resources on January 1, 2023.
