Vision

Our vision is that the justice and corrections system of the United States becomes a system of dignity, safety, and progressive personal improvement for all involved.

Goals

1. 1.The NIA's major strategic goal is to build a Reentry and Restoration Services model for all of Georgia via select commission regions by December 31, 2027, establishing relationships and connecting people returning from prison with resources such as housing, educational and employment opportunities, mental health and substance use treatment programs, and other customized wrap-around services.
2. 2.In order to achieve Goal 1, we will have to attain a much higher level of funding and staffing. Our goal is to grow our development staff by 400% and our programming staff by 200% by the end of 2027.
3. 3.We seek to expand our advocacy work with partner organizations and implementing projects such as our If Moms Ran Prisons initiative by the end of 2026 in order to raise the general public's awareness of the lasting impacts of incarceration, with the ultimate goal to create more empathy and see justice reforms implemented.
