Vision

Empowering lives through Christ centered compassion, the Fenton Center of Hope envisions a future where every individual and family not only overcomes crisis but thrives- fostering a resilient, hope filled community built on love, dignity and lasting transformation. By doing so we align our organization with the vision to serve neighbors in need by building relationships and trust, educating and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to thrive.

Goals

1. 1.We will be able to build on the success of our core programs as well as being able to start providing a solution to a lack of emergency housing space. Our organization typically receives at least 2 calls per week from local residents attempting to flee an abusive relationship with their children. When renovations are completed our short term emergency housing facility will provide a safe haven.
2. 2.The free choice food pantry at FCoH is gold level certified through the national pantry program. We continue to expand our focus on healthy eating, cooking life skills classes and recipe development to assist residents to move forward with greater success. Our facility offers us the space to acquire a larger inventory, which gives us the ability to better meet the needs of local residents.
3. 3.Many of the residents that come to us for assistance have a lack of skills for job opportunities. In the Fall of 2025 we will be implementing a new program focused on training individuals to achieve a GED certificate. We have a former educator that taught GED prep classes in an area school leading the program, along with additional volunteers that will be the team providing this program.
