Vision

We believe that safe, quality housing is the key factor for successful recovery from substance use disorder, trauma and incarceration. We have perfected our program in 7 homes that we own in Seattle. We envision that our housing model, where we do not exit people for failure can be reproduced throughout the country. Recovery homes for the past 50 years exit people in 15 minutes for any transgression or relapse. We do not believe people are disposable. Goals

1. 1.Kate’s House Foundation expands access to our innovative shared, transitional housing model. Data shows quality, permanent housing leads to long-term recovery, family reconciliation, and meaningful work. Unlike leased recovery homes run by residents, real estate owners using our plan provide stability and support, fostering a community where residents thrive. We want to be national.
2. 2.Kate's House Foundation discovered that many residents with substance use disorder had mental health issues. We now house people who have been hospitalized with mental health issues and support their needs. Using RECAP recovery software, we measure progress and outcomes, adjusting our programs based on data to better support our clients.
3. 3.In the past year, we created a website and educational system to continually educate transitional housing operators on best practices in medicine and housing. We provide monthly meetings and teach best practices in housing. We hired an accounting firm to monitor our expenditures and assure wise investments in the organization. We hired management professionals to ensure continued growth.
