Vision

We’re a community making bicycling accessible, sustainable, equitable, and affordable for everyday transportation; where human-powered transportation is a right that does not need to be earned and is prioritized to better residents’ lives physically, emotionally, and economically.

Goals

1. 1.In 2026, we'll launch a new program called Meals on 2 Wheels. M2W deliveries groceries to the people who face significant transportation and mobility barriers and cannot get to food pantries. By using fully equipped e-cargo bikes, volunteer Delivery Riders will deliver up to 320 lbs of fresh, frozen and perishable foods per a 12-15 mile route. We plan to deliver about 25,000 lbs in year one.
2. 2.We've determined that it's no longer sustainable for us to reach a goal of 2,000 bikes distributed each year. The costs have increased greatly but the labor intensiveness is the largest challenge. We have set a new goal of giving away 1,500 fully refurbished and tuned bikes annually.
3. 3.We are in a 12,000 sq ft warehouse in the heart of the community we serve. The space has allowed us to grow and develop new revenue streams through a retail operation. But the space will be torn down within five years. We have established a new SPACE Committee to help chart a path or paths forward to improve our long-term sustainability and viability.
