Mission

The NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program is a universal wealth-building platform that expands access to mainstream financial products; builds individual, family, and collective financial assets; provides financial education for families and students; and brings communities together to support all their children’s futures. Through the NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program, to date approximately 280,000 NYC public school students across the five boroughs have a financial asset for college and career training with funds that collectively amount to nearly $45 million. Approximately 65,000 additional kindergartners will join the Program every school year going forward.

Vision

Every student who enters NYC public schools at kindergarten graduates from high school with a financial asset to be used toward college or career training, and students, families, schools, and communities have increased expectations of college attendance and graduation for every child.

Goals

2.Further build citywide foundation for neighborhoods to integrate the Save for College Program at scale and into the fabric of New York City
3.Build the internal capacity of NYC Kids RISE to keep pace with the scale of both the organization and the Save for College Program
