Mission
The Dhiman Family Foundation (the “Foundation”) was created to make grants and distributions to support projects and efforts aimed at improving the lives and prospects of underserved individuals and communities, and at the betterment of society, through religious causes, prevention of cruelty to animals, preservation of the natural environment, promotion of health care, and advancement of knowledge and learning. support a variety of charitable causes, and to engage in charitable giving. The Foundation will research and vet worthy 501(c)(3) organizations and other charitable programs working in diverse areas, and will determine where its contributions will be best utilized. The Foundation anticipates focusing its grant making activities on education assistance and community improvement. Although it has not yet selected any particular recipients, it will give priority to projects that provide an immediate impact. It is anticipated that most recipients will be recognized 501(c)(3) public charities, but the Foundation is open to making grants to other entities, an exercising expenditure responsibility. The Foundation also hopes to provide scholarships to promising high school and college students in financial need in the Tri-State New York Area and in Punjab, India.
