Mission

The corporation is formed for the charitable and educational purposes of holding land in New York State that will serve as a public model of self-sufficiency and ecological harmony through communal living in a rich, diverse habitat that provides humans and nonhuman organisms,.. through the practice of horticultural techniques, with food, fuel, building materials, beauty, and other needs. The land held by the corporation will be a place used to educate the public of the skills relevant to these pursuits and will offer scientific research opportunities and hands-on training in forest gardening, permaculture, natural building methods, and foraging wild edibles and medicinal plants.
