The Bail Project’s mission is to end cash bail and create a fairer, just, and more humane pretrial system. We work to combat mass incarceration by disrupting the cash bail system and advancing systemic pretrial reform, focusing on restoring the presumption of innocence, reuniting families, and challenging a system that criminalizes race and poverty.
