What is your organization aiming to accomplish?

We seek to educate woman to ways to live a healthier more fulfilling life despite their cancer diagnosis.

What are your strategies for making this happen?

We accomplish our goals through our television program which is available on community television and our website. Our television program has reached over 100,000 viewers in Staten Island and over 1-million in NYC. For 2019, we are producing a the play, Breast Cancer Diaries. We also conduct Celebrate Life Adventure Programs which provides women with cancer the opportunity to remember that life isn't merely about surviving it's also about thriving. Our Celebrate Life program took 20 women and three husbands white water rafting in August 2018 and 40 participants to see the Christmas Show in December 2018. Each event provided free admission to women with cancer.

What are your organization's capabilities for doing this?

We are capable and have been hosting our Cancer Tamer TV Talk Show since June 2016 and instituted our Celebrate Life program in 2018. Our founder is an award-winning author who hosts our television show and writes books and articles to help educate our participants and viewers. .

How will your organization know if you are making progress?

We receive emails from participants and television viewers about our programing and the positive effect it has on their life. We look to collaborate with other organizes to increase our connection and reach. We also look to the growing number of our participants and Newsletter registrants.

What have and haven't you accomplished so far?

Our organization started in 2016. Since then we've accomplished the following: * television talk show series in Staten Island, NYC, YouTube, and our website * Celebrate Life Adventures Program * Workshops on living with cancer * Celebration Fund -- encouragement savings * collaboration with other women's cancer organizations * books on breast cancer What's next: * Breast Cancer Diaries -- The Play * Body Love Retreat * continuing to grow our television presences into the other three boroughs * fundraising to allow and offer more educational programs
