Anthropocene Alliance

Mission

A2 brings together, supports, and organizes alongside grassroots groups across the United States and its territories to fight for environmental protection and health. We work with communities most impacted by pollution, flooding, wildfire, excessive heat, and the cumulative impacts of climate change by providing organizing, capacity-building, policy, research, and nationally coordinated advocacy support.

Goals

1.Directly partner with those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and environmental abuse, and amplify their voices locally, regionally and nationally.
2.Provide capacity-building, grant-writing, research, community organizing, and advocacy strategy support to increase the effectiveness of local, resident-led groups to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
3.Support local, state, and federal policies that protect the environment, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and curtail human exposure to environmental pollutants.
