Mission

Therapies for Inherited Neuropathies' mission is 1) to develop and make available therapies that members of the Charcot-Marie-Tooth community can use to improve their quality of life while treatments for these diseases are developed; 2) to educate the patient population about the disease and related treatments; and 3) to fund research to develop new treatments when an approach shows promise.

Vision

Unlocking the genetic code that provides a cure for those afflicted with CMT and prevents the disease in the future.

Goals

1.Rapid Drug Discovery Test for CMT1X directly links genetic defects of patients with the protein produced by the disease gene. This increases the speed of results and lowers the cost of testing.
2.Provide our community with additional treatments and therapies, including a physical fitness video series to improve balance, flexibility, endurance, and walking balance for CMT suffers at all levels.
3.Our core programs are clearly stated in our mission statement, We work continuously to achieve these goals and adjust to meet the needs of our CMT community.
