Mission

Mountain Humane is Saving Animals and Changing Lives through Adoptions, Pet Retention, Animal Care, Shelter Medicine, Education, Counseling, Training, and Community Outreach. Our Vision is to build a humane community where people value animals and people treat them with respect and kindness. Founded in 1972, Mountain Humane is funded almost entirely by private donations and grants.

1.Expand pet retention program to ensure people get help to care for/keep their pets. Support families with pet food, behavior assistance, and vet care so they don't have to give up their beloved pets.
2.We provide low-cost/no cost veterinary services to the public. To have a full-time vet team to perform these services is of utmost importance in expanding these services.
3.High staff turnover following COVID resulted in a re-eval of benefits. We are increasing our benefits to include housing assistance, dental insurance, and a flexible work environment.
