Vision

Our organization seeks to build a thriving future for Idaho's rivers. We are working to ensure our rivers remain protected, healthy, free-flowing, and accessible for future generations, and to restore our native fisheries to abundant and harvestable numbers. Idaho's 100,000 miles of river cross every landscape and industry in Idaho, and intersect with the lives of every Idahoan. They are an invaluable resource central to our economy, ecology and lifestyle, and our work ensures they remain healthy in perpetuity for today and future generations.

Goals

1. 1.In response to the growing challenges and threats to our rivers, we are actively furthering the depth and scope of many of our programs and work, especially in evaluating the cost and benefits of largescale hardrock mining projects, decommissioning out-of-date dams that impede rivers and fish migration without viable benefits, protecting public lands and river recreation access.
2. 2.We are growing the management, strategy, technical capacity, and financial longevity of our organization through careful assessment and strategic steps forward. We already exceed average staff retention rates in our industry, and are investing in the growth of our extremely qualified staff who produces high quality work that is recognized at a state and national level.
3. 3.We have made tangible growth in advocacy efforts related to public lands, river recreation access, river health, and salmon restoration. We are also growing the scale, depth, and scope of materials and reports we produce that allow for communities and partner organizations to advocate for their river resources and fish populations.
