Mission

The Sawtooth Botanical Garden is a community resource showcasing native and cultivated plants that flourish at high altitude. The Garden connects people to the region’s unique beauty and fosters environmental stewardship through education, events, displays and plant collections. Understanding the unique ecology of this region and exploring the wonders of gardening provided a multitude of opportunities to “celebrate plants and inspire people.”

We value the environment, its resilience, and its guidance. We value diversity and inclusion… for our community, for our world. We are approachable and collaborative. We value relevance and sustainability in our community, through providing compelling programming, inclusive events, and a beautiful place for all people to reflect, enjoy, and breathe.

Goals

1.We endeavor to purchase the land on which we sit in 2026.
2.In 2026, we are evaluating fundraising events that were borne out of the pandemic to ensure they are still 1. relevant and unique, 2. bringing net income, and 2. are achieved without straining staff and volunteers bandwidth
3.Our ongoing goal of staff retention is successful with incremental compensation, unlimited time off, and reimbursement for health insurance premiums
