Mission

AT ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOUTHWEST IDAHO (SVDP), OUR MISSION IS TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS BY ADDRESSING FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN NEEDS AND PROVIDING HELP TO OUR NEIGHBORS. OUR COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF SERVICES REVOLVES AROUND THREE CORE CATEGORIES FOCUSED ON PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS: PROVIDING DIRECT ASSISTANCE TO REMAIN HOUSED, ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITY, AND SUPPORTING THE SUCCESSFUL REENTRY OF INDIVIDUALS RECENTLY RELEASED FROM PRISON.

Together, we can prevent homelessness in Southwest Idaho.

Goals

1.We respond to over 7,500 calls to our Help Line every year. We often help with rent, utilities, furniture, clothes, transportation, and other needs.
2.Our five food pantries serve hundreds of families each week with nutritious food to keep families healthy and stretch food budgets. Last year, we distributed $3,585,000 worth of groceries.
3.The Mobile Food Pantry began in response to COVID-19. Since then, we continue to serve those who have fallen through the cracks in our community. Many clients are refugees, veterans, and seniors.
