Mission

Broken Chains is a national community of bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts who have experienced hope and healing through Christ-centered recovery. Our mission is to share the message that freedom, transformation, and redemption are possible from a host of life-controlling challenges—including addiction, trauma, suicidal thoughts, relational wounds, grief, and spiritual brokenness. No matter the past, there is a path forward. Through lived experience and unwavering faith, we walk alongside others in their recovery journeys, offering authentic support and a message of lasting hope. We are committed to: • Creating and sustaining Recovery Support Communities that foster connection and healing • Offering peer-based support, encouragement, and accountability through lived experience • Reducing stigma and breaking down barriers that prevent individuals from seeking help • Partnering with community agencies, service providers, and first responders • Participating in compassion-driven outreach initiatives—intentionally going where the traditional church may not, to serve unhoused individuals, meet people’s basic and spiritual needs, and bring recovery, hope, and dignity to the streets • Providing harm reduction services—offering practical tools, education, and support to reduce immediate risks, prevent fatal overdoses, and build trust with individuals who may not yet be ready for recovery, while always pointing toward healing, restoration, and new beginnings • Providing fun, sober activities ("Funcovery") that strengthen recovery and community bonds • Walking with justice-involved individuals, offering mentorship, advocacy, and support as they pursue restoration • Empowering at-risk and at-promise youth through the Broken Chains Juniors Program—a faith-based, trauma-informed initiative that fosters resilience, promotes behavioral health equity, and equips young people with the tools to overcome adversity and thrive physically, emotionally, spiritually, and economically • Engaging in suicide prevention efforts, offering compassionate intervention, peer-led support, and resources to individuals facing suicidal ideation or crisis, with a commitment to fostering hope and life-affirming connection We meet people where they are—on the streets, in recovery environments, jails/prisons, at events, or in moments of crisis. We create safe spaces where people are seen, heard, and empowered. With a strong national presence, we are building a commUNITY where hope and healing thrive—one relationship at a time so that others can see CHANGE IS POSSIBLE.
