Vision

The Zcash Foundation envisions a world where financial privacy is a normalized, fundamental human right embedded into the core of global digital infrastructure. Their long-term goal is to transform Zcash into an "unstoppable," decentralized utility that provides a secure, privacy-by-default alternative to the transparency flaws of traditional finance and early blockchains.

Goals

1. 1.Launch Zebra. Zebra is the Foundation’s independent, consensus-compatible implementation of a Zcash node, currently under development. The Foundation is leading a major architectural shift to modernize Zcash's backend, moving away from the legacy zcashd node.
2. 2.Grow Frost implementations and usage. FROST is a signature scheme designed to reduce the interaction between participants who jointly own a private signing key and wish to use this private key to sign a message.
3. 3.A major part of the Foundation’s future vision is proving that privacy technology is not just for "crypto enthusiasts," but is a vital tool for humanitarian work via our Shielded Aid Initiative.
