A full appreciation and understanding of the roles that bottlenose dolphins play in the ecosystem in Cedar Key and the surrounding waters.

Goals

1. 1.Dolphins are long lived species and therefore the data we collect is over many years. It is critical that we maintain a continual baseline monetary support line to continue this work. The increasing variability in weather patterns and stronger hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico makes the coastline and the inhabitants (dolphins and people) much more vulnerable to disaster.
2. 2.Fundamentally, we are a research-based organization that is invested in understanding the foraging ecology and population dynamics of the bottlenose dolphins from Steinhatchee to Crystal River. That is our core mission.
