The umbrella organizations within WRF had to continue efforts on behalf of the communities served by providing for basic needs, meeting deliverables, and continued oversite through reports and documentation even during COVID. It was imperative that our organization was able to continue its community engagement and fulfill its needs. For example, our organization had to provide sanitary services for the Roma camps in Hungary as the government was unable to facilitate them. We had to improvise make HZMAT suites for our teams. Provide them with face gear, gloves, and a cleaning solution to implement the sanitation process. Exposure in the region to COVID would have been higher amongst the Roma camp if our organization did not hasten its response time and take the initiative taking the risk of curfew violation and potential detainment.
