Vision

Our vision is for Black girls and women to have the individual and collective power of space and time - free from violence—to explore, grow, and be.

Goals

1. 1.Create & Expand Educational Programming Create and maintain programs in K-12 schools, college campuses, and community centers using historical and political analysis to support Black girls and women to contextualize their lives, build power, and deepen solidarity — including BGPx chapters on 10 campuses and K-12 partnerships in Central Mississippi.
2. 2.Advance Community-Centered Research Equip young Black women researchers with the tools and analysis they need to conduct research on issues that impact their lives and turn it into action — growing the Black Girl Research Institute to 20 fellows per cohort and publishing findings bi-annually.
3. 3.Strengthen Narrative & Journalism Contextualize stories told about Black girls and women by training and deploying young Black women journalists and artists, amplifying their work through Black Girl Times — building BGX into a regionally recognized source for reporting on reproductive and economic justice.
