Vision

The Center for the Rights of Abused Children unites Americans to do more, be more, and change more for children. We believe every child deserves life, safety, and a loving home.

Goals

1. 1.We aim to move beyond case-by-case intervention to systemic public interest litigation that establishes enforceable legal rights for children. This includes securing high-court rulings for a constitutional right to legal representation, a recognized liberty interest in timely family placement, and a state duty to protect children from known dangers.
2. 2.By 2030, the Center intends to finalize and implement national child protection blueprints based on proven wins, such as the right to counsel, school stability, and immediate relative searches. This involves expanding technical assistance to 8–10 priority states, ensuring the fidelity of core protections, & establishing monitoring frameworks to track the effectiveness of these laws on the ground.
3. 3.The primary objective is to scale proven solutions to protect the "next million" children over the next five years. This impact is measured by moving children from "aged out" or "limbo" status into safe, permanent homes, thereby avoiding the long-term societal and economic costs associated with system failure—estimated at over $1 million in avoided public costs per child over two generations
