Vision

We founded Human Rights for Kids because we believe every child deserves hope and love. What started as an idea, is now a growing movement making a difference in every U.S. state and beyond. Human rights abuses involving children are perpetrated around the world by government entities, private companies and individuals. We’re a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights for children. We use an integrated, multi-faceted approach which consists of research and public education, coalition building and grassroots mobilization, and policy advocacy and strategic litigation to advance critical human rights on behalf of children in the United States and around the world.

Goals

1. 1.Advance the adoption of criminal justice reform for children in key states and in the United States Congress, to create a foundation of respect for the rights of children in the justice system.
2. 2.Release publications and research detailing the scope and scale of abuses against children in the justice system, to contribute to the body of information and education in the child advocacy space.
3. 3.We seek to secure legal victories in state and federal courts that advance constitutional and human rights protections for children, to ensure the voices of children are heard in our highest courts.
