The Chick Mission
Mission
The Chick Mission is fiercely dedicated to ensuring every young woman newly diagnosed with cancer has the option to preserve fertility through direct financial support, educational programs, and advocacy efforts. We refuse to let the emotional, physical, and financial cost of a cancer diagnosis stand between young women and a full life after beating this disease. We refuse to let the emotional, physical, and financial cost of a cancer diagnosis stand between young women and a full life after beating this disease.
Vision
We envision a future where every young woman diagnosed with cancer has equitable access to fertility preservation, the knowledge to make informed reproductive health decisions, and the freedom to pursue life-saving treatment without sacrificing her dream of building a family. Through education, advocacy, and direct financial support, we will continue driving systemic change until fertility preservation for cancer patients is accessible, affordable, and the standard of care nationwide.
Goals
- 1.The Chick Mission has provided more than 900 Hope Grants for fertility preservation through 100+ vetted fertility clinics across 10 states. We are scaling this proven program by expanding our clinic network and geographic reach, ensuring more young women diagnosed with cancer can preserve their option to build a family before treatment.
- 2.We are expanding our educational programming across corporate, collegiate, and community settings to reach more young women with critical information about fertility, cancer prevention and detection, reproductive health, and self-advocacy. Through expert-led discussions and survivor storytelling, we create supportive spaces that empower informed healthcare decisions.
- 3.We are advancing policies that expand equitable access to fertility preservation by advocating for statewide insurance coverage for cancer patients. Through coalition-building, grassroots advocacy, and education, we are working to eliminate financial barriers, so every young woman has the opportunity to preserve her future fertility before cancer treatment begins.
