Adaptability Practices

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
In the last year (2021) our numbers of youth swelled to over 1200+. We were financially unable to meet these needs. It was a difficult decision, but we chose to focus our resources and staff on younger students and close our high school. We have openly shared our story with our supporters and we are striving to maintain fiscal responsibility to our staff and supporters. Remaining active and open to as many students as possible is our goal. Throughout this challenge we have pursued sustainable goals: One we have begun and continued financial support of our staff. We moved from a rental location where water had to be purchased by the liter, to a custom built permanent site with a well. Now we live rent free and we not only can give our staff and children water we can freely give water to our neighboring community.
