Mission

The Heart and Armor Foundation for Veterans Health aims to protect the health of veterans and to connect civilians to the experience of military service.

Vision

Helping to build a healthy relationship between the citizens of the United States of America and those who serve in the US Armed Forces.

Goals

1.Develop a best-in-class Veterans Health / PTSD academic Research Core in the San Francisco Bay Area, resulting in at least 250 peer-reviewed publications and $20 million in federal grant funding.
2.Develop the nation's first academic research core dedicated to the unique needs of women veterans and underrepresented minority vets resulting in at least 150 unique peer-reviewed publications.
3.Engage hundreds of thousands of civilians in accessible and profound stories and narratives of veterans service, wounds, and unique strengths.
