1. 1.Advance nationally recognized standards for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) through ANSI-aligned development, stakeholder engagement, and publication of new and revised standards. Expand adoption among providers, brokers, regulators, and payers to strengthen safety, quality, and accountability across the industry.
2. 2.Expand NEMTAC’s accreditation, registry, and education programs to increase industry participation and measurable compliance with national standards. Strengthen infrastructure, governance, and monitoring systems to support sustainable growth and long-term standards integrity.
3. 3.Improve reliability and safety in medical transportation by promoting transparency, data-informed oversight, and alignment between healthcare and transportation systems. Support rural access, regulatory clarity, and cross-sector collaboration to elevate NEMT as an essential healthcare service.
