Vision

Along with our partner work with the Wounded Warrior Service dog program with Walter Reed and the Henry Jackson Foundation, we envision the creation of a gold standard for service dog training. This gold standard addresses the current lack of regulation around veteran selection, dog selection and care, facility standards and service dog training geared specifically to the goals of the veteran handler.

Goals

1. 1.Expand the number of highly qualified trainers across our training hubs to provide more service dogs annually and reduce the time on our veteran waitlist.
2. 2.Increase the scope of technology used within our program to increase communication with veterans about education and their dog tasks while training and preparation for integration.
3. 3.Continue to work with Walter Reed and the Henry Jackson Foundation to establish a core group of standards that will serve as "the gold standard" for non-profits receiving public funding and serving the veteran community.
