Mission

Tanka Fund’s mission is to direct funds from people like you, who are stewards of the Earth, proponents of regenerative agriculture, and defenders of social justice to Native buffalo ranchers to support and sustain ranch planning, financing, and operations.

Vision

Our vision is not to return to the past but to bring the teachings of the past into the 21st century and revive a buffalo economy that can regenerate the soil and biodiversity of the grasslands along with renewing health, abundance and prosperity in Native communities.

Goals

1.Increase capital and access to markets for Native buffalo producers.
2.Develop a buffalo youth cooperative to increase youth participation and access to wealth
3.Operate digital marketing and storytelling initiative that increases Tanka Fund’s Capital and diversifies donor pool.
