Kindred Box, Inc.

Mission

Kindred Box is a nonprofit organization in the United States. We collect donated ostomy supplies and distribute them to individuals facing financial hardships who lack sufficient health insurance coverage. Our mission is to raise awareness of the cost of vital medical supplies for ostomates, promote understanding, develop solutions, and encourage donations of new ostomy supplies to reduce medical waste.

Vision

Kindred Box envisions a future where every person living with an ostomy has reliable access to affordable essential supplies, the dignity to live fully, and the support to thrive, while reducing medical waste through conscientious community giving.

Goals

1.Strengthen Kindred Box by investing in financial sustainability, operational infrastructure, technology, and leadership capacity. Expanding these core areas will improve efficiency, increase outreach, support long-term growth, and ensure more uninsured and underinsured ostomates receive essential supplies with dignity.
2.Expand Kindred Box’s reach and capacity to serve more uninsured and underinsured ostomates nationwide. By growing programs, partnerships, and operational support, we aim to increase access to free and low-cost essential supplies and related services, reduce barriers to care, and ensure more individuals receive timely assistance with dignity.
3.Develop new programs to address the evolving needs of underserved ostomates and individuals facing financial hardship. By identifying gaps in care and access, Kindred Box will create responsive services and support initiatives that improve quality of life, reduce health risks, and provide meaningful, community-driven assistance.
