SoLA Robotics

Mission

SoLA Robotics provides fun, high quality, hands-on robotics and STEM/coding experiences to students in under-resourced communities like South Los Angeles and Watts. Our mission is to (1) Guide students toward a diverse variety of career pathways, (2) Build a community of students who grow, thrive and learn together, (3) Educate youth of color in development of professional skills, and (4) Prepare students in developing a functional portfolio of technological skills.

Vision

SoLA Robotics is part of a growing educational technology pipeline for South LA kids. We're South LA's premier community-based, year-round, competitive robotics club, here to give your child the tools and confidence to delve into coding and robotics, and perhaps one day, pursue a career in STEM. It's time to elevate!

Goals

1.Our goal is to empower students with the tools and self-assurance to immerse themselves in coding and robotics through tangible lessons, increasing their interests in STEM career possibilities.
2.Increase our partnership opportunities with local entities like tech hubs, community centers, parks and schools. These classes help address both resource and accessibility barriers for youth.
3.Continuous professional development through technology courses or pursuing certifications, so our staff remains at the forefront of technological advancements, upholding our high standards.
