Vision

We envision a world where individuals from every community can see themselves as leaders and community pillars: as doctors in their neighborhoods, legislators in their cities, CEOs of the businesses they frequent, educators in their schools and universities, and attorneys who understand their lived experience.

Goals

1. 1.We will strengthen and scale our flagship Ambassador Fellowship (LBAF), expanding the cohort from 20 to 35 fellows nationwide, with a 30% focus on HBCU recruitment. Shifting to an efficient 8-month hybrid format with a fully funded Boston intensive, we provide personalized admissions coaching, test prep, and up to $10,000 in transition grants to eliminate last-mile barriers to graduate school.
2. 2.We will democratize knowledge about graduate admissions through our Share What We Know initiative. By expanding free, open-access tools on our website—including virtual Graduate School Access Collaborative (GSAC) convenings, monthly policy newsletters, and building the AI-powered 'LB Navigator' chat tool —we will equip over 1,200 external students to navigate complex higher education pathways
3. 3.We will enhance organizational capacity by strategically expanding our Board of Directors to recruit leaders with deep philanthropic expertise and connections to networks that will expand our fundraising capacity. By activating development committees and formalizing expectations, our board will champion new revenue streams to ensure the long-term financial sustainability and scale of LB's mission.
