The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
Our organization is a disaster ministry that provides volunteers and resources to victims of disaster. Each disaster is different so our response varies every time we engage in a response. We continue to add programs to our response that help to provide for unmet needs that we see, We recently added a children's backpack program to provide young people with something to do when many or all their belongings have been lost. we continue to look into how we can reach out to children in the midst of disaster. We have started training 14 to 18-year-olds to be able to help in response. We are implementing background checks to protect those we help and our volunteers. We adapted to the environment Covid created to provide our volunteers with a safe work site and camp. We are a young organization, but we will continue to adapt to better serve those in the midst of disaster.
