Global Forest Generation (GFG) brings people together to make lasting, multi-country ecosystem restoration a reality. Through partnerships, we work with local leaders and communities to deliver the resources they need to reforest degraded lands while ensuring that old forests remain protected. It can take decades to truly restore an ecosystem. GFG develops the critical long-term commitments and strategies with local partners that enable the trees we plant today to turn into thriving forests for future generations. Our Approach: -Scaling Up High-Quality Restoration Programs - We develop science-based, regional conservation and restoration plans. Our initiatives include interconnected landscapes across multiple countries, and projects involving thousands of people. -Investing in Local Leaders & Communities - We enable grassroots leaders and their communities to carry out projects by building out the infrastructure, funding, and training.. -Mobilizing Long-Term Restoration Finance - We establish local, regional, and global funding partnerships to finance and scale ecosystem restoration and protection. Finding long-term financial support through multi-year commitments is essential for increasing the size of our projects. -Building a Global Restoration Movement - We tell the stories of our local partners, showcasing their critical on-the-ground work. Our goal is to motivate a new generation of young conservation leaders to make a positive impact on our planet.
