Mission

NC Survivors Union is a community-led statewide grassroots organization made up of people who are directly impacted by drug use. Our mission is to improve the lives of people who have been targeted by the war on drugs by: organizing, growing and strengthening community-led grassroots groups; educating, mobilizing and advocating for policies and programs grounded in harm reduction , healing, and disability justice; providing direct services in areas where high-risk communities are denied even the most basic services.

Vision

We believe in centering the voices, experiences, and people with lived and living experience using drugs. We believe that people with lived and living experience with drug use are essential to race and health equity and should be involved in decision making processes related to drug policy and research through meaningful engagement. We envision a world where people who use drugs are able to lead healthy, autonomous, and self determined lives.

Goals

2.Expand and scale our low barrier workforce development program, health hub program, and outreach program.
3.Open a second location and incorporate a race and health equity blueprint into our strategic planning process in 2024.
