Mission

The Open Sanctuary Project is a freely accessible, always growing digital guide for any resources or information you need in order to responsibly create and successfully manage an animal sanctuary or to provide the best possible care to animals in order to help them live long, healthy, happy lives free of exploitation.

We envision a world where every animal sanctuary is a success story.

Goals

1.In our ninth year, we have over 800 resources available for sanctuaries and individuals who want to be of service to farmed animals. We are almost constantly receiving requests for new resources. One of our primary goals is to expand our resource offerings, constantly reevaluating our approach to ensure we are providing the best possible information to the greatest number of people.
2.We want to expand our supporter base and offer new services in addition to our always-free knowledge base of over 800 resources that can help provide more resources for us to improve and expand our offerings and digital infrastructure, making our resources more accessible and to help them remain relevant and available long into the future.
