Mission

Minnesota Africans United (MAU) is a nonprofit coalition of African immigrants, businesses and organizations. Founded in 2017, MAU is the first and only Minnesota organization to bring together the African Diaspora and to focus on their needs and aspirations associated with entrepreneurship, education (for both youth and adults), healthcare (including mental health), home ownership, technology, and cultural association and preservation across the 55 African countries represented in Minnesota. The MAU’s mission is to create awareness and build individual capacity within Minnesota’s African immigrant community related to the resources and opportunities available to them. MAU’s outcomes help close the economic, education, social and opportunity gaps in our community.
