Mission
HLTH Foundation is committed to promoting equitable and inclusive healthcare. The foundation focuses on improving technology for underserved populations, advocating for the inclusion of patients in innovation and care delivery, and diversifying leadership opportunities within the healthcare industry. Its activities are driven by five imperatives for high quality and sustainable healthcare: access, affordability, health equity, inclusion and innovation.
Vision
We envision a thriving health system that fosters flourishing communities everywhere, in which: - all people have timely access to high quality, engaging, affordable and tech-enabled care - patients are treated as expert partners in digital health innovation and healthcare decision making - healthcare leadership represents patients–from entrepreneurs to C-level clinical, technology and business professionals - healthcare is a continual force for equitable access, health and economic opportunities among all people
Goals
- 1.Influence the design, implementation & distribution of health technology to be more accessible, affordable & effective for all people. Specifically, we will promote our recommendations for practicing techquity in healthcare; continue recognizing leading projects in techquity; educate the industry via our database & materials; do research on innovation in community health centers & raise funds.
- 2.Support leadership and economic opportunities for underrepresented healthcare professionals by growing our free mentorship program and travel grants, and fundraise to expand learning and networking opportunities for mentees, mentors, founders of health equity startups, and the greater health impact community.
- 3.Promote the recognition and inclusion of patients as valuable partners in health innovation via research into patient access to and experiences of health technology, promotion of research results, connecting patients with healthcare professionals, and providing education on patients as expert partners in healthcare navigation and decision making.
