Vision

We envision a world where not one veteran finds suicide as an option to escape the challenges they face. We aim to create safe, welcoming, and supportive environments where military veterans can build relationships, access resources, and engage with their communities. We want to strengthen the well-being and social connectedness of veterans while fostering civilian understanding and support through innovative programs, community engagement, and peer-to-peer connections.

Goals

1. 1.Without a dedicated physical location, we have offered several veterans’ programs across the Pittsburgh area, including Veterans Coffee, yoga, bicycle rides, and game nights, with mixed results. We have ended the yoga program and are shifting our focus toward expanding game nights, which have proven to be a meaningful way for veterans to connect and build community through shared activities.
2. 2.We've been raising money to open the Restore 22 Coffee Shop, a nonprofit coffee shop focused on veterans and their needs while remaining open to the public as a way for the broader community to show its support. This will provide a more consistent way for veterans to access our services.
3. 3.To grow our offerings, we are focused on building a well-trained and reliable volunteer force to support our mission. Volunteers will help operate the coffee shop, assist with events, and support outreach efforts, allowing us to expand services, maintain consistent programming, and better serve veterans and the surrounding community.
