Mission

Yucca Valley Material Lab (YVML) is a nonprofit arts organization committed to hands-on making, material exploration, and meaningful community exchange. We champion underserved artists through fully funded residencies, scholarships, and innovative workshops, fostering a culture of experimentation, risk-taking, and collaboration. By creating accessible spaces where art is made, shared, and celebrated, we nurture a vibrant ecosystem that connects artists, musicians, and community members in a shared pursuit of creative growth and social transformation. Through free public events, exhibitions, and artist-led programs—including our Yucca Alta music initiative—we cultivate a dynamic environment where art becomes a catalyst for connection, empowerment, and cultural enrichment.
