Vision

Coffee for Good's vision is to increase workplace diversity and reduce the high unemployment rate of people with developmental disabilities. A diverse workforce benefits everyone.

Goals

1. 1.Train young adults with developmental disabilities. We pay our trainees minimum wage while working and learning. Training is individualized and after 6 to 18 months we help our trainees find competitive integrated employment close to where they live. Since opening in 2021, we have place over 30 young adults into paying jobs.
2. 2.Coffee for Good has many trainees with an Autism Spectrum diagnosis. These young adults are very capable but struggle with appropriate professional skills such as active listening. We have hired a special education teacher to both develop a curriculum and then work in small groups with these adults. Gaining these skills will allow our trainees to succeed in future jobs.
