Our vision is to become an indispensable source of information that captures people’s experiences with technology outside the West by producing stories that: connect the dots, empower local journalists, hold the powerful accountable, challenge stereotypes, and focus on the experience.

Goals

1. 1.To grow, expand, and scale our programs and services, engage new and existing audiences by publishing and amplifying award-winning stories about tech innovation abroad. To improve reader experiences, we bring an innovative, immersive site experience to our readers. We optimize content for mobile-first and low-bandwidth environments in order to increase access in areas with limited connectivity.
2. 2.Our current practices include strategic planning and budgeting, offering professional development resources to all team members, sharing insights and learnings across departments, presenting our work and expertise at conferences, and updating systems and software. These investments are designed to support quality, efficiency, and sustainability in all areas of our work.
